About gunnar
Gunnar Freyr Gunnarsson is an Iceland-based photographer, storyteller, and explorer known for his cinematic imagery of Icelandic nature.
Originally from Denmark and based in Iceland since 2015, Gunnar combines an outsider's curiosity with deep local understanding. After completing a master's degree in business and economics, he transitioned into photography and built one of Iceland's most recognized visual brands.
His work reaches nearly 800,000 followers online and has been featured in collaborations with Canon, BBC, Netflix, Whole Foods, and more.
His tours are built around the same philosophy as his photography: slow down, embrace the unexpected, and experience Iceland in a deeper, more meaningful way.
